Used tank prices vary by location, but that price sounds pretty high to me. The difference between a 55 and 75 doesn't sound like much, but it really is. The 48"X18" footprint vs. 48"X13" footprint really makes a lot of difference in my opinion.Thank you everyone for all the input, much appreciated)
I happened to be ummm doing nothing at work today and checked out
aquarium classifieds. Saw a 55 gallon with stand, power whisper 70 filter, heater, bulb and fixture, decor,natural rocks, air pump and python water changing system all for $250. So sounds good? Even though I did want a bigger tank this might be a good jumping off point.

I agree with you there. I checked them out in the store and they did look so narrow. That's why I decided a 75 would be better. I guess if I can take care of a 55 I can do a 75 gal. I'm just thinking it seemed like a good price. Saw a 55 gal. set up in the store for $600, but I'm sure the filters aren't the best. I would rather just get the tank,stand and hood and buy what I need.
