Newbie with Red Cherry Shrimps, need help asap!

Okay, good idea. I can hide a small bag of crushed corl behind my sponge filter.

Also got home really late last night and tested ammonia and nitrite only.
Day 49 (5/30):
Ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrite - 5 ppm
Nitrate - N/A

Added some ammonia before I slept and will test water later today.

I've been lazy and taking the lazy way out testing ammonia and nitrite only without testing nitrate. I can't see how nitrates can be a factor in cycling process. I'll probably test for nitrates every once in a while when I'm bored.

Day 50 (5/31):
Ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrite - 5 ppm
Nitrate - N/A

Also added about 3.5 mL of ammonia. Will re-test ammonia in about 1 hour to see how much ammonia is actually being cycled.
 
Day 53 (6/3):
N/A

Day54 (6/4):
Ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrites - 5 ppm
Nitrates - NA

I'm adding 3.5-4 mL of ammonia every night before I sleep by the way. I just didn't feel the need to post that after every update.
