Hello there! need some help I have some (total of 8) Nicaraguensis ( and i want to keep them (3 months old, still pretty small). I would like to keep a couple or 2 females.

My question is, if i want to have a couple or 2 females in my 90G aquarium, wich other species i could add with them? I want colors, nice colors if possible.

Could you help me with a selection of few species that can live with my nicaraguensis without too many problems? Thank you for helping me!

Have a good day!

Marc

Perhaps a sole oscar or a pair of severums?

What species are you most interested in?

nothing specific. I only want to keep my nicaraguensis and im not sure is the best thing to mix american with african and blablabla... you know.

im open to anything. I had in mind any of the following species, for a total of something like 5-6 cichlid. Ive searched a lot and ive encoutered those species.

I think i would be able to use the following setup. Give me comments/recommandations/ideas/anything

2X Nicaraguensis
1X Salvini
1X Green/Red Terror
1X Firemouth
10X Hyphessobrycon columbianus (small tetra)

or

1X Amphilophus margaritifer to replace any cichlid if i can find one

Thank you very much in advance

I would nix the terrors and salvini, they can be aggressive and the nics are fairly peaceful.

The tetras will probably get eaten or be picked on too much, you may want to consider something more robust like tiger barbs.

I wouldn't do the Herichthys cyanoguttatus.

Are these all what you plan on putting in there, or just species you're interested in?

I think those are just the fish he has available to him, and wants possible combos from them

thats right, those are the fishes that im interested in and that i know can goes with the nicaraguensis.

I will use the species that are available to me.

For sure, 2X Nicaraguensis, and probably 3 other species (1 of each, for a total of 3), i just dont know wich ones i will be able to find.

comments are welcomed, and suggestions too.

Thank you for helping me choosing :)
