Found this submerged, but not sure what kind of wood it is. Seems pretty solid and definitely aged. Went looking for a few small pieces and came back with this monster. Couldn't resist! Now I wish I had another tank to put it in!

Boil and Scrub..... and then boil and scrub some more LOL! After that, if i am hesitant as I am on this one I will give a salt bath for a day or two....just to be safe
This piece I noticed had a lot of nasties on it and has a plethora of nooks and crannies, so I will have my work cut out for me. Right now I am just letting it weather and bake in the sun!Also make sure it is a harder wood and the more aged the better IMO

Outside on the turkey fryer burner with a ten gallon pot. Even still, probably going to have to boil half and then flip it over. I've heard of others soaking in bleach water mixture but I prefer not to.
Yea, I've heard of the bleach water and dechlor thing before but it never sounded very safe.
