Nitrate absorbers that do not need to be submersed...

I'm making an overhead trickle filter...basically, I'll have water spraying out of two PVC pipes like a showerhead. Looking for low light nitrate absorbers that can withstand having water sprayed on them 24/7. Also, the water will drain back into the tank almost immediately so there will be no standing water. Are there plants that can thrive in these conditions?

Pennywort, and duckweed come to mind...how much light?

It's a 10g hood with two 14 watt bulbs(28 total)...but they're 3700k >.<

6700k, or 10k would be better, but that is enough wattage to grow those. You can get those bulbs @ lowes

the larger duckweed would be great for this purpose... I think the smaller duckweed would end up all over your target tank. I also think frogbit, watersprite, water lettuce, bamboo, bacopa, and mangroves would all be appropriate. The mangroves would be hard to establish though.
