Thanks for the great information regarding planted tanks and biofilters. I'll be interested in seeing how the Flourish Excel helps with faster plant growth and, hopefully, lower nitrates.
BTW, I just did my weekly water tests and my nitrates were down to 20-30ppm. That's the first time I've been able to get them that low, so maybe all those plants are starting to get a little more established after all.
