Hello all again :) Wanted to thank everyone for the help I have recieved here.....it's been great! Have a couple more questions as usual lol. I bought a multiple test kit....it tests for Nitrites but not Nitrates. Is there a specific test for the trates or is there a calculation to do? Does anyone recommend a bubbler or diffuser for extra airation (sp)? Also, I know I am being paranoid.....feel like a mother hen, but I heard that when your fish bounce or rub off of rocks or hard surfaces it could mean some problem. My fish do this every now and again but otherwise seem fine, look good, and eat and play well. Thanks ahead for any info!!!

Yes, there's a separate test kit for nitrates but I wouldn't worry about it as long as you do regular water changes.

You don't need a bubbler as long as you have surface movement.

Yes, get the test for nitrates...it is probably the only one you need once you have your tank established.

What are your current readings on ammonia and nitrites?

I would recommend all new to the hobby havr them all.

eww, you should have 0 to negligible readings for nitrite. Do more PWCs to get that down.

How long has your tank been up & running?
Almost sounds like it hasn't completly cycled:huh: Maybe I'm wrong though
