Cool thanks. It looks like I can get my clown today! Yay me! Ammonia was almost gone about 5 hours ago and that is a HUGE drop of over 5ppm since 10:30pm last night. It was about .25ppm
Nitrites actually are not bad for saltwater fish, they are actually quite tollerant to them..Have a read of the article quoted in post number 3 and let us know your thoughts on it mate..
Ya I do want corals but Im not gonna start with those just yet. I'll wait probaly a month if all goes as planned. Is there like a kit I need for to supplement nutrients for corals. If so can you link to it. Thanks.
Many use a 2 part solution to balance the Ca and Alk out in a smaller tank. But before doing that or recommending one you should first see what the numbers are. It is possible your SW mix provides all you need when doing a WC.
That is fine until you decide to get corals. If you decide you want to do that you'll need to get kits for Ca, Alk and Mg. If those don't check out as they should we can make suggestions based on the numbers.
Okay well I'll go pickup those kits this weekend for sure and then I can test and start to adjust accordingly. I have to adjust slowly correct? So the sooner I get the test kits the sooner I can get all my parameters correct.
