No one told me this....

Stop that! I do not need any extra motivational fuel for my MTS! :) I am going there tomorrow actually, lol! Not with the intent of buying anything though, haven't had good luck with their stock but it is a great place to look around! Even if I was I have no place to put them right now, all stocked up. But I am working on seeding as much media as I can for the up coming Monster Fish Konvention!!! So who knows. :D

I haven't had any problems with their stock.. but I'm a huge fan of incredibly slow acclimations..

and why would you go there if you don't want to encourage MTS.... they have such great deals on tanks..

Oh, you are evil! :) I don't buy new tanks though. I bought ONE new tank ever and it was a 40 breeder at the $1 per gallon sale, all my other 17 tanks were used and either free or cheap.

I am going there to look at cichlids to join my syno cats in their new bigger 58g home and I love looking at their display tanks. :D

I can't talk about cichlids, because I just walk right past them...

but, if you're looking for cheap stock, NJAS are meeting tonight and who knows what they might have in their auction... Join and you'll get 10% off at tropiquarium too!

(Sorry for the thread take over!)

Darn that's tonight? I have to babysit tonight. What are they into now a days? When I was a member they had no african cichlids and few others (at least of the smaller species), fair bit of plants though. I am going to check out JSAS as well because they are 12 minutes from my house instead of well over an hour!

Yup, it's tonight..

I find the auctions to be pretty balanced for my tastes, there are cichlids, but I tune out as soon as they're brought up, so I couldn't tell you anything about them.

As always, the larger events will have more options, and they have their 60th anniversary coming up in October.

I've never tried a monthly JSAS meeting, just because they are about 2-3 hours from home, and getting home and needing to acclimate fish doesn't appeal to me. their annual auctions are good though.

if nothing else, aim to go to NJ next month on the 11th to listen to Rachel speak, I'm expecting it to be a good time.

Yeah, this is a big few months for NJ. Rachel is in NJ 3 times (NJAS, JSAS and the monster fish konvention), NJAS anniversary and of course the monster fish konvention!

I am hoping to get some cories while I am there, probably pandas. Back on topic now. :)
