No time to do everything that needs done so the quick and short of it... :hi:

We have been playing around with planted tanks for several years, growing from a goldfish non-planted 5 & 10 gallon tank to our first "real" tank of 29 gallons and real live (well at least for awhile) plants and community fish. Somehow the intrigue for success didn't die as we jumped with both feet into a 95 gallon wave tank (currently 4 sale) and found Rena stack filtration for ourselves after swearing off HOB filters (at least for larger aquariums).

For the past two plus years we have a 150 planted with about 60 congo tetras, 20 clown loaches (3-1/2" - 8"), 3 yoyo loaches, ~18 cory cats (sterbia & jullie), 3 red tail black sharks, 4 bala sharks (5"-8"), a good handful of bristlenose plecos (brown & albino), 6 imperial plecos, 4 peppermint plecos... oh that about does it. We had this tank covered in amano and cherry shrimp yet the clowns have cleaned us out of them. Filtered with two Rena XP-3's and has co2 on it.

We have a 140 tank that is almost a year that started with 45 cichlids from lake malawi, yet now we are over 120 super dudes in the there, well super moms too. There are 4 plecos (1 albino sailfin 10-1/2", 1 brown 10-1/2", 1 brown 7", 1 special "camo" guy about 7") and one nice sized top fin catfish that eats really well (can we say sushi?). It has a base of cichlid sand, 75 pieces of lava rock, 3 larger slabs of stone and is filtered with two Rena XP-4's. We just got what I am calling my "cichlid apartment" of 15 rock caves to add to the mix since we seem to constantly have someone holding.

The last tank (well!) is a 75 gallon planted tank that is our growing up tank with 10 baby brown bristlenose, 10 littler (?) albino longfin bristlenose, 5 albino bristlenose that are just over a year old (and starting breeding). 50 liitle fish that look like neons yet are not (?!) and 4 baby clown loaches just because we love 'em.

I know - didn't talk much about plants...

...and this is already more than anyone wants to know!

See, the website kept telling me to post - so there it is.

Pictures??? Well, we get to start over as we lost 9GB of pictures and have not completed the recovery YET. That is going to take some time! :OT:

Dinner time... :D
