This is the first halloween in 10 years I have lived on a well lit street with plenty of neighbors. My wife and I went to our churches harvest festival, left there at 8:00 and were home 5 minutes later. There were still kids out all over, but not one has wandered down our street :( I was a little let down.

On an aside, is there anyone else who is appalled by girls costumes these days? I understand (but dont really condone) twenty something girls dressing slutty for parties, but I saw some 10-12 year olds dressed up as hooker little bo-peep, stripper red ridinghood, hooker pirate, stripper pippy longstockings etc. Today, going out to lunch, the 2 girls at the register were dressed in similar costumes. They include thigh high stockings and garter belts, and skirts so short you can see thier underwear :screwy:! When did this holliday become an excuse for little girls to dress like prostitutes?!

I worked tonight :( Sucks but I survival comes first!

And yeah, I agree on the costumes. I at least had to get a costume for my department's cube decoration contest, and gosh most of the girl costumes if not all are way too revealing. Not work appropriate at least. Not sure if that's because that's all the companies have to offer or because nobody will buy something else, but I had to order something online that wouldn't show my butt or boob cracks. :s

none came to my house, but they wouldnt have gotten candy if they did. maybe an onion...

little girls like dressing like big girls, if toddlers could understand it they would go out like that too...

I had 4 tots but that equaled to one group. I would think partly because the front door light was not on so people thought no one was home. But than 10 mins after that first group around 8 pmish we left to go to my aunts b-day party. I missed the traditional going house by house and actually walking but now parents drive their kids in the car, 1) because I would think faster and safer 2) its raining.

Keep in mind that we were all born naked.

Not saying i condone little kids dressing this way in any shape or form. but the way an adult dresses is fine with me as long as it is legal (and you have the figure to pull it off)

No trick-or-treaters here, there hasn't been any in nearly a decade.. I've already stopped doing the neighborhood patrol years ago. A few will roam the main streets and trick-or-treat at stores, but homes are avoided.

And with the costumes.. it could just be that I'm a horrible person, but I'm already so used to little girls normally dressing in what would be considered inappropriate, so I'm indifferent about the Halloween costumes.

None here either...guess the Pay Day candy bars are all mine....

I slept through the whole thing since I was sick but I heard we got a lot of kids (we always do) and my Beagle barked every single time hehe. Drives my husband nuts. Jeez, she was defending the candy! As for the costumes. They usually have snow suits on here. We just had a snow storm. My husband said he saw a lot of game characters like Mario.

They must have scared the life out of one of my fishes :O(
