I dont seem to be able to get no3 above 2 ppm in my 20 gal. I do 50% water changes every 5 days. My question: Im using amquell declohr which also claims to remove nitrates could this be a problem ? Im using salt petre as a source. Any thoughts ?

Test your dosing solution after dilution in a bucket, first without the Amquel, then after addition of Amquel and mixing.
