Im somewhat new to the planted aquarium and I would like to know if a non compressed C02 system is effective. And is it worth the money. I really wanted a much nicer one but I recently got laidoff from work and can no longer afford a high dollar system. tHE CHEAP ONE IS ONLY THIRTY DOLLARS AT MY LFS. Its made by nutrafin. If anyone has any other cheap alternatives Im open to any suggestions. I have a 29g tank with wisteria,Rotala Indica, java fern,DHC,crypt parva. thanks for your help

Look up "DIY CO2". It's basically the same thing as the Nutrafin, except much, much cheaper.

Some links i used to start out using diy co2.I also used that link from Mgamer20o0

I was able to get my reactor from petco online for $10 shipped regarding the last link.I like the diy co2 system alot.It works great for me.
It really does not have your fish gasping for air either.Read up on the whole system and give it a try. I also still use Excel as a supplement of carbon with diy co2.Good luck. ;-)
