Non shipping demand for syndontis eupterus?.

I am curious. Suppose I was successful with my synodontis breeding project and I now have a couple of baby synodontis ready to go to new homes. Because of how extremely difficult they have been to breed, I would not want to risk the special babies by shipping them.
So in theory, would anyone be interested in club pickups, road-trips and local pickups?.

If they continued to breed, I would move onto shipping. If this turned out to be a once shot deal, then I'd want to keep it to non shipping.

how many babies do you think would be produced at a time because if its more than like 10-12 i dont think there would be a huge market for them locally

and you should be ok shipping them there are much much more fragile fish shipped everyday with no problems

I would also think your lfs would buy them, or give you trade in, I bought mine for I think it was like 8 bux !! So I am sure if they can get them at a wholesale price, you would have a few outlets' there. call a few and ask around. research IS your best friend on ALL fishy business. ~~ Good luck . I have one. I think I asked you before, but do YOu know a site where I can get GOOD info on what tankmates are good, and which are bad ?? so far he has gotton along with corys, BN plecos, and lizard loaches (max out size 2" ) also guppy , betta . WHAT do YOU think,. and what sites can help me decide which bigger tank I can place it in . sorry to hijack ... sorta the same topic... just need help with mine, I LOVE it , It is so far one of my FAV fish . Just remember that normal markup on livestock is about 3x cost, so for an $8 fish expect $2.50-$2.75, and that would most likely be in the form of a store credit.

I picked up a nice 2" juvie at Wal-Mart about 6 weeks ago for $6. Shipping is easy enough, breather bags and Priority Mail box would be fine for Synodontis. Heat packs if the weather is cold, but you need to raise the fry to at least 1" before you'll have to worry about moving them out.

Yeah we just started caring these in my Walmart there under the name lace cats or something to that effect. They dont seem to sell to good out here. I know people on here would pay a lil extra for shipping if they know there coming from a good breeder vs the LFS or big box stores

The LFS will be plan B if there's no non shipping demand/people interested in direct pickups. I am fairly sure they will take a couple of rarely bred local fish.

I must say if there's really no demand within a 2-3 hour radius of me ( club distances), I'm going to be surprised. Then again it would be really good to know this in case I'm successful this time.
