Noob question, what is plant "pearling"?

My plants are not pearling yet, is that normal? I have 2.5 wpg in a 20 gallon tall, and I dose florapride a couple of times a week.

2.5 wpg in a 20 gallon tall is pretty much low light.

Technically 2.5 WPG is medium, but compared to what many people have, it is low light.

Yeah I looked at your DIY plans. Absolutely perfect Clear and to the point! But in aquarium terms, and not compared to what most people have, is 2.5wpg enough to grow most types of aquatic plants?

Oh and.

The co2, do I leave it in the water all the time, or do I ever take it out. By that I mean do I just leave the co2 keep bubbling at all times?
