That would be way too many discus for that tank ray! I know Bob from the simplydiscus forum. He's been a member there for quite some time. He's been buying gorgeous discus to breed for the last couple of years so his fish are from great stock. For a while there he was collecting different white discus for his white discus breeding program and you just had to drool over the collection he was amassing. Bob knows what he's doing and I'm sure these young discus are the best of the various spawns. I would not hesitate to recommend to someone to buy them.

just an off the beat humour.

so may I ask how you both know bob? I was remotely considering this offer (if still around)...

what a great deal! & having you 2 vouch for him makes it even better!

but I shouldn't couldn't wouldn't mix them in with my 15 recently acquired in a 72gal bowfront, right? crazy right? nuts right? insane right? sick right? wantonly reckless right? just plain dumb right? no way jose should I ever remotely consider this right?

hmmmmmm.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I don't know if I have even spoken to Bob or had a conversation with him on the forums. What I do know however is that his quality is top notch and I would not hesitate one second to buy those discus from him. I am extremely picky on the discus that I keep in my tank as well, so that should say something about the quality that Bob has to offer. He frequently buys pairs from reputable sponsors, and is very successful in spawning them. I saw a thread just the other day of some of his stuff. I'll see if I can find the link.

Sorry, that's all I have for links. If you need more proof you are going to have to contact the man yourself. As you can see there is not a single cull in his stock. He sells absolutely the best that you can get from a "local breeder". You better hurry and contact him though. I'm actually going to contact him to see if he will ship them to me. I said I'd take them if I have the space and I'm picking up a 135g tomorrow that needs to be resealed and I'm getting two 100g tanks next Sunday as well. $250 to prove you guys wrong and have excellent stock is VERY much worth it.

Bob's rose reds

plse do! he sounds like a great guy. if you don't mind can you tell us what he quotes you?

thx

$10 per quarter sized Rose Red is what he is selling them for locally. That's a good price on those. Rose Reds tend to hold their value pretty well. He said he'd give me a discount on 20 of them but I don't want to disclose the price as I'm not sure he'd be willing to do deals like that for everyone. Definitely worth checking out though. I'm thinking about getting some from him once I get my fishroom up and running in the next 2-3 weeks (hopefully).

if ever I am in his area driving thru I will definitely consider stopping in on him for a pick up!

I don't need to know what he would do for 20 discounted! so far he is so reasonable whatever he offers to discount is worthy of accepting w/o any hesitation. so now! where do I put them so my wife doesn't see them??!! hmmmm... in my trench coat pockets! I have deep ones she'll never know they're there!! :dance2:

good luck in your set up! be sure to ask AC'ers for advice if you need any help! :grinyes:
