How bout a Jack Dempsey?
 
i kept a jack dempsey for a while, but i think that they red devil looks neater. even at 1', one devil should be fine in a 75gal shouldn't it?
 
the first link u gave me said that one needs a minimum of 50gal. possible to keep a breeding pair in a 75gal for a little while?
 
also, what can i do with my current fish? they are in excellent health. . . will they sell on craigslist?

I would think they would be fine if the only two fish in there...so long as they get along with each other
