I disagree.

But then again i'd also disagree with keeping an oscar, pacu and other fish in a 30G.

Thank you, I'm new to this 'posting' stuff, I've been waiting for the judgemental people to emerge! You dont list what type of perfect tank(s) you have. Maybe you should tell us newbies the wrongs of all our ways and how the 'know it alls' do things.

Nothing 'judgemental' about it, just facts. The oscar will reach 12'+, the pacu 20+ and the pleco 16+. Don't you think thats a bit much for a 30 gallon tank?

That would be correct if you were assuming that I was stupid and didn't already know that. Fish don't start off full-grown, and people buy bigger tanks as needed. Right now all my HUGE fish are about 3" each, except for the 3 misc. small fish which are about 1 1/2" each. They all seem to be doing just fine.

And what was wrong with me saying that Kill A Watt could put a goldfish, betta, or feeders into his tank? I didn't say to put ALL of those choices in the tank! Just some options.

It sounds like you are just trying to pick a fight. You could have just stated that you were looking to get a huge tank in the future.

I would have stated that had I been ASKED. I didn't ask anything about my tank, he just felt the need to comment on my tank.

I'm still wondering what is wrong with 1 cold water fish in a 10G tank with weekly water changes.

Well i tell you whats wrong. He asked what he can keep in a 20G without filtration or heating.

A betta is tropical - so needs a heater. BAD advice.
Goldfish are messy - they need filtration. Besides many people who truly care about fish will argue that even a 20G is too small for one - a 10G is totally out of the question.
And then "feeder fish" ????? Thats either common goldfish that get HUGE or feeder guppies that are tropical like the betta.

After all i was under the impression he was looking for something he could KEEP in a 20G. So i find it pointless to suggest a fish that would require a much bigger tank sometime down the road.
Or what is your solution to fish that outgrow their tank ? Flush them ?

I am not here to pick a fight. But i will add my 2 cent when i see bad advice and expect the same from anyone else should i give bad advice to someone.
