Nothing wrong with my tank is there??

lol, didn't even bother reading what most of the fish were... i saw "30 gal" and the length of the list and knew it was a problem :P

Don't worry, your fish will all die off soon enough so you won't be overstocked anymore.

I didn't even look at the 15g - that's WAY too many fish for such a small tank.
Flagfish, please understand that we all just want to help and have the fishes' best interests at heart. You may not have done it intentionally, but these tanks are incredibly overstocked and without removing some of the fish you'll probably have issues with agression and disease. Like housing too many people in too small a space, crowding a tank is possible but not at all desirable.

I was talking to emily yesterday about people that come here and ask for help and peoples opinions, but even though they ask they know that they are going to do whatever they want anyway, i think flag dosent intend to help his fihs out with a better life even though hes asking.

PS: The title of this thread makes me laugh now....

hahaha, its sad but true. but thrn again it might just be a kid whose parent doesnt know how to say 'no' when picking out 'toys' at petsmart. alot of kids come here with weird or obvious ailments and no one else but the net or a greedy LFS to help them out.
hope the person who started this thread will trade or give back some of those inmates.

IM A BEGGINER           !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i understand how mistakes can made when one is new to fish keeping. now that you know your tank is overstocked, what do you plan on doing about it? Have you asked you local fish store (LFS) if they could do trades? You could explain to them what happened, your tank got overstocked and see if they would let you trade in some fish for decorations, plants, food or lighting for the tank. If not you could ask around to see if you know anyone intersted in adopting your water pals, you could also put an ad up in the classifieds to see if anyone is interested in buying or taking them off your hands to give the fish you end up keeping a happy home. with lots of space to swim and good water quality!!!!! good luck,
Nuri

I'm not sure "I'm a beginner" is a good excuse either. I think most people look for information when they start something new that they don't know about. Myself, I always get a book. Trying to think about setting up a tank, and not reading anything, would I put that many fish in a small space? I don't know buddy. I do know that I wouldn't put that many fish in my tank.
