hey, i have a fully cycled tank that has been running for a good 2-3 monthes. i recently have noticed that the water is turning a hazy whiteish color. i know when i was cyling the tank i had a bacterial bloom that went away and the water became crystal clear.....my question is why is the water cloduy again??? ive been doing my normal Maintenance with water changes and gravel vaccuming.....arghhhh

what kind of gravel do you have
do you have live plants? There is
a tendancy for the water to become whitish
and cloudy immediatly after you do a filter
cleaning and a gravel vac but this shouldnt
last longer than 2-4 hours definatly not
longer than a day.. If it goes away in a short
while then its ok if not it could be something
other than just having debris stirred up during
the maintanence change
:D :D :D :D :D :troll: :troll: :troll:
like the dude from ohio said when counting the votes
can we all just relax and take a deep breath... ,Take a
deep breath the presidential election is on the line,., you take
a deep breath and count the dam votes lol lol..

you are experiencing NTS, or New Tank Syndrome.

ALOT of people quit because of this.

From what i have heard, it is acually bacteria floating around your tank eating all of the fish waste.

I acually just went through this (I probably still am) which you will experience a little ammonia spike, and a nitrite spike.

My water was cloudy for 3 weeks, and it finally cleared up today.

I would dose your tank with NIC (new improved cycle) and it will clear up real fast (None of my LFS's have it)
