You need to give the lid an extra 1/4 turn after you think it is snug, very important with the new units where it may need tightening twice.

i have DIY yeast co2 and it took about an hour to get the bubbles going
used 500ml plastic bottle 100ml water,100g sugar 5g gelatin
and 3g yeast and after fill the bottle about 4/5
