Anyone else notice their kuhli loaches just letting themselves get sucked up against the filter intake? Mine like to hang out there a lot, it seems.
 
that doesn't sound like a good thing. . . . what's your water quality like?
 
Not sure on the water quality at the moment. Need to do a test. I think they just like the feel of it. There's a heater behind it they like to drape themselves over, and I think one just noticed the sensation of the water intake as they swam by.
 
Mine use d to get sucked up it and died:mad:
i covered it (filter) and they never did it again.
 
Haven't had that happen, unless they died. Put a sponge on it.
 
since they like to "drape themselves" over the heater, they may be too cold. try raising your water temp by a couple of degrees.
 
I have 5, mine like to "drape" on the heater suction cups and sometimes they stack up together as they do so 8) They have done this for months and it is part of their normal routine, crazy guys! Enjoy! michelle
 
Yeah, they like the suction cup part. They stack up there a lot. The water temp is actually kind of high right now, and the heater isn't even on. I think they just like to find an easy perch to hang out on.
