thanks mg, you know I love ya even though you hate SW.
pacersfan- $110 is a good deal on a 14 Biocube, I paid $150 for mine new (w/ $25 mail in rebate as well). Sorry it took me so long to respond, I've spent much of my time in my granddad's rehab facility after his hip replacement last week. Anyway, if I found that deal I'd jump on it- JMO.
Hey, I haven't updated in a long time so I snapped a couple of pics earlier. Everything looks a little dusty, and not so happy, because I rescaped the tank this afternoon. I also swapped the stock pump for a Mini Jet 606. It's a lot more quiet and the flow has increased quite a bit.
Here's a pic from my last update that I posted on Feb. 24:
And here's a full tank shot from tonight:
Some pics of my new zoa's:
And a couple of new mushrooms I got a couple weeks ago, even though they haven't opened back up completely:
So whatcha think? I think I like the rescape, but I'd love to hear opinions.
Are those all new zoas in the front? If so, they look wonderful. Nice and full. I like where you placed them. The only thing I do miss is the overhang that you had in the very middle. It looked like a nice mysterious place were creatures could hang out. Other than that, I think the aquascape was definitely worth it. Good job!
Yup, all the zoas in the front are new. Just picked em up on Monday. I've had the new mushrooms for a couple weeks, but hadn't added anything else in a couple months. I also liked the overhang in the middle but with the new zoas it just wasn't possible, lol.
Thanks for the compliments, your pics always look great BTW.
I like it alot...especially the cave in the middle...gives it some depth. I also really like the placement of your coral. Now you just need a tall gorgonia or tree sponge for that back left corner and you'll be set.
I just can't believe you have all those wonderful colors and incredibly awesome animals in an 8 gallon tank. I didn't think it was possible. Truly inspiring!
