Octopus 100SS HOB intake cup sucks fish in

My skimmer cup on the intake side sucks in food, fish,
snails. Need a DIY to cap off and protect the intake so all doesnt get sucked in. Please help

Your are talking about something to cover the end of the "resun" pump that hangs in the tank? If so you can cover it with anything that restricts the flow as that has the venturi on it just before entering the pump housing itself. Perhaps you can consider a different placement on the back of your system where it is less likely to pull in food and fish. As noted, a pic would really help with the trouble shooting.

did some googling and i saw someone with the intake facing the back of the tank...like using the glass as a medium to prevent anything other than water n stuff from getting in
