i take it they can somewhat breathe above the surface, or well maybe not breathe but can resist some air?
im not too sure about how they do it but in the wield they will go on land between tide pools so the behavior isnt unnatural.

about half an hour ago i fed him a silver sider and now hes hinding in the shadows keeping an eye on me. i got my camera

For something a lot of people would consider ugly, Octopuses are so amusing ain't they? I might have to try one of those one of these days.
haha as you wish, i still need to figure out macro mode so i can really get some good shots but these are at least better than the first ones i posted.
looks like hes keeping an eye on those crabs. they have been slowly disappearing in the tank. hes been shedding suction cups like crazy so im hoping his arms are growing.
