Octopus tank (log)

pics are going to be a bit of a challenge because the tank light broke earlier this week. this weekend ill mess with more camera settings, try some creative lamp placement, and see if i can come up with anything decent for all you pic addicts :) (but don't get your hopes up)

the light in the tank works again and i got a shot of him trying to elude the camera.

he got kind off annoyed when the light came back on (hence the redness)

if you look carefully in the top pick you can see a new little arm growing in.

since i started giving him tetracycline i havn't noticed anymore arm fragments. he has also become less shy, particularly around feeding time were for the pas couple of days he has perched on tip of the rock closest to were i sit starring at me. when feeding he also likes to horde the feeding sticks now. they float but he has positioned a couple under rock overhangs so they wont. maybe its an accident but it hasn't happened before and they look like their spacificly placed.

indeed, and hes always finding different ways to show it, from positioning feeding sticks, and shell to finding a place were he can see the tv and stay hidden no matter what side of the tv i block.he also dug a tunnel system under the rock through the sand. soon ill get one of those plastic containers from a 25 cent machine and see if he will open it for some shrimp or fish inside. im also planning to get him some live crabs sometime to provide him with more enrichment, but that will have to wait untill after he finishes up with the tetracycline.
