Hi all, I have a question regarding the fish of my aquarium they seem oddly aggressive or territorial.
It's a 100 Liter tank or about 26,5 gallons I currently have 6 Emperor Tetra's, they seem to charge each other off and on the odd thing about it is the males even seem to try to nip the females? then I got a German Blue Ram and a male Betta, these are the most peaceful of the bunch, never bully anyone, I'll get a mate for the ram this weekend and lastly I've added a Apistogramma Cacatuoides which completely dominates the bottom of the tank (as soon as it sees anyone come near it chases them away, don't think it ever actually damaged any fins though) that kinda annoys me because I wanted to get a Ancistrus Sp. (Bristlenose pleco).
I got plenty of hiding spots and plants (no floating ones yet though but I'll buy some this weekend.) question is, is this normal behavior or could there be any reason for the aggression? Water quality is pretty pristine, i change 50% each week and got a Eheim 2071 filter (250 Gallon/Hour)
