Is keeping an odd number of Angelfish wise?

Recently my LFS had a sale on some Angels and I bought 3 since my Ma and Sis were with. Go figure..

My worry is 2 are fairly social and the last one kinda secludes himself when my lights on. Second the lights are off, they group up.

Second question, my tank contains guppies, corydoras and these angels. I'm not planning to put any other fish in due to the fact my guppies keep breeding like rabbits, but will they all get along well? I'm worried the angels might pick on the guppies or vice versa even though the LFS said they should get along.
I love these Angels, if anything, I'll drop some cash to get them their own seperate 55 gallon with Corydoras and live plants.

if the tank is large enough you may be ok. the problem with angels...they tend to establish a pecking order if kept in groups and are fairly social until...
a pair forms..then it's all bets are off.

meaning.. angels do not fit their names well.. they are far from 'Angels' when they pair off and actually quite aggressive.

is this a 55?

if so and there is cover the third angel may be safe but.. probably best removed if the picking continues.
as for guppies.. adults are relatively safe..until you get adult angels.. which if you continue to keep angels in with breeding guppies is all you may have left.
they will eat the babies and in general will attempt to eat anything they 'THINK' they can fit in their mouth.

Currently they are in a 29. I havent seen them try to do anything and all guppies are either mid to adult size. I was actually looking at 55 gallon tanks for these angels specifically right after this tank.

Right now the Angels are small. About 2" max.

My concern is their fins. I havent seen the guppies try anything with them besides 1 or 2 females curious on what the hell they were. Lol

I also forgot to mention, the one Angel thats really shy, it will bury its face between my tank glass and backdrop if it gets scared. I have never seen a fish do this when someone walks by or when I feed them.

Usually , they are scared for a reason. keep an eye on them as often you may begin to see frayed fins which is evidence of aggression.
a 29 will be okay for a bit but will be too small for three adults(assuming they still get along) usually if they are all the same sex(usually females) they tend to be less aggressive.

it is more likely that the angels will nip at the guppies once they get larger and they will all eat baby guppies at this size.(given the opportunity)

Yea they ate a few it seems like. My father nor I can see and babies swimming. Or the babbies got smart and hide behind my backdrop. I'll get a photo up soon, this tank is still in progress.

oh yes... they love them...for food

it really depends, but most of the FW shrimp are on the small side and would wind up as table fare for an angel.
but sometimes they may last awhile if there is a lot of cover and the shrimp figure out they are food.

Im planning on a small 6" piece of driftwood and change all my fake plants to better ones. The new tank will have live plants and these angels. I wanted to get some shrimp in with the live plants but I can always wait.

Heres a photo of the tank, excuse the blurriness of my blackberry.

if you want to attempt shrimp with angels go very heavy on plants. some java moss for the shrimp to hide in will help but again..chances are the angels will eat them.
