Oddball fish?

Hi guys I was looking through online fish stores just for fun and I came across some fish I had never hared of being in a home aquarium. Here they are what do you guys think.

Yep they have both been kept in captivity. Back when I worked at a fish store years ago we had both species in stock. The Flying fish aren't always hardy but when you get a good one be sure to keep it well fed. DON'T get the Golden Trevally (Pilot Jack) they are a schooling species and each fish reaches 3 feet long! Not for the home aquarium plus they lose their pretty color when adult. Anyway hope this helps and good luck!

Yes that helps a lot MonoSebaelover. I will have to look into the flying fish some more. that seems like a very interesting and cool fish to have in the home aquarium.

Do you know if they will jump from the tank? i have a lid on the tank so its not a big deal i just would not want it hurting itself if they like to jump i can always raise the lid

theres a lot of species of jack that get large down here(jack crevalle) on the texas coast, a lot of people catch them in the surf two about three feet or more. thought id add.
