Odyssea lighting?!?

Spend a few extra dollars and get something safe and reliable or.... heat up the room get a burned out ballast or shortened bulb life or maybe even a fire. Some of life's decision are tough and some others have an answer that seems self evident. Good luck with your decision.

Stratus, this might seem a bit off-topic, but do you have in place any Co2 system or fertilizer regime? Your money will be better spent on a Co2 system than lights, especially at the level you're trying to buy.

i would also recommend skipping aqua traders and getting something a little more expensive, but reliable. if you have to save for a little bit longer and leave your current fixture on the tank for a little while longer, don't worry: your fish have been doing fine with it all along.

i ended up bidding and winning a nova extreme 4x39 watt fixture, with 2 460nm bulbs and 2 10000k bulbs. it was half the price of a new one, because its a refurbished one. so it should be fine.

cant wait to get it in and see how it works,.

if your going with Odyssea use topdogsellers on ebay i use them and not a problem there easy to deal with i had to replace a ballast ,told them about it and no questions asked they sent me a new one :) I have two odyssea fixtures now 1 MH and 1 PC there great for the price and as you mght read the ballast are not underpowerd my 250 watt mh is 248 watts so not to bad for the price just change the light that come with the fixtures there kinda crap :)
