oh boy paludarium experiment #2

Mellowvision,

I put together a little paludarium project a few months back and I wanted to add some aqautic plants to it. I was wondering what those lily-pad-like plants you have floating are? Your Palu looks great! I like how your set it up w/o a plexiglass divider and used what looks like cork bark. Definitely going to try something like this soon when more money come around.

this has came along way ive read every comment and followed this as a guest and just finally signed up to say great job im starting my own pal and just trying to ge all my above water mosses growing but they dont seem to be taking to much any recomendations they are in a 20 gallon planted no water atm but i dont know if i should use fertilizer or not

Any recent pics? Love this little tank.

Sorry to redig this thread, but I stumbled across your video! I wanted to know what you used to glue the cork together and to the background. Also - what is the substrate you put under the cork pieces and what the their purpose? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! It appears a year has passed and I wanted to know how the tank was doing-and-days! I guess I misguided you with my original question - what I meant was, what was contained inside the plastic mesh that you put around and underneath the bottom of the cork pieces? It looks as if there is a sort of blueish container (I think it was the ceramic media you mentioned, if so, where can you purchase it?). Is the reason why you glued the cork pieces higher above the bottom of the tank so you can access it more easily for cleaning?

I also wanted to know if you poked holes in the loc spray bars to distribute the water?

Thanks again for your inspiration!!
