I was watching my apple snail eat earlier. Then he fell off the drift wood he was on I didn't think any of it. 10 minutes later he didn't move. I picked him up and he's not moving at all. He is hanging partly out of his shell
I put him in a one gallon and I still do not see any movement. I wonder if I gave him a calcium overdose
I have been soaking him in a calcium bath every 3 days. I take one pill and put it in a gallon of tank water then put him in it and let him soak in it for awhile. He won't eat the calcium like my other snail will so I figured this is the next best thing. He had a "v fissure" from making snail babies. Over the last week this grew and turned into a wide crack going up his shell. It was sealed from the inside so from my research I thought it would heal on his own. Do you think he's dead or just resting? He doesn't smell at all but if I blow on him he doesn't move. This is horrible! I have become so attached to him. Besides my bettas he is my favorite. Thanks!
