I wanted to give him an extra air stone so I moved him to my 3 gallon with my betta. It is filtered. The only problem is that my betta's water temp 74 degrees. Is that close enough to 70? If not I can put the betta into the 1 gallon temporary.

I'm trying. Now that I put him in the 3 gallon with the extra air stone he seems to be moving around a little. Still laying on his side on the bottom up against the glass. He has his body streched out like he wants to attach to the glass. Sorry I don't know the proper terminology. Siphon is still sticking way out though.

He hasn't moved in 11 hours. I keep smelling the water and it doesn't semll bad. I had to move him back to the 1 gallon this morning at 6 am because I found a MTS crawling on him. I wonder if he was dead then. 
I did smell them directly at that time. How long does it take them to start to smell?

was the MTS just on his shell or on his soft tissue? Takes a few days but if he is ready to fail the smell test, you will know it.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I think that means that he's gone, otherwise he would have drawn his foot in, I think -- but I'm far from really knowledgeable.
yea me too. The only reason why I'm waiting is because he has been inactive for a few days now but every now and then I would see some movement. I'm wondering if he was just too weak to move but then again, I don't think the MTS would have been on him if he was alive.
