I would suggest checking out pond design ideas to lower the risk of predators to your fish/pond. I can't name them off hand anymore.

Unless you're using rolls of it bordering the pond, prison-camp style, a few rows of barbed wire may not be sufficient.
you might try pond netting to cover your pond at night... probably not foolproof, but it'll make things more difficult for any predators. Fosters and Smith sells it for pretty cheap.

Cougar urine, an electric fence, and a .22 should take care of your problem.
