There is a stargate in my aquarium.
Yep, they jump. And it's amazing how they can find the smallest space to fling themselves through. Once, a long time ago, I was doing some maintenance and checked the power filter hanging on the back of the tank. To my surprise, there was a rather confused cardinal tetra swimming in it! He had take a leap and found the one safe place to land.
