My question is what are we filling the void with after extraction? In another 20 years I think the world is going to implode. 
With these questions in mind, what is the production rate in comparison to consumption and what bio products are feeding the production of crude?

That paper was written awhile back, and the theory never passed peer review.
It stands as an unsupported theory, with mainstream science not supporting it.
In any case, the world will never run out of oil. Its inherently impossible. What will happen is the price will increase as it becomes more difficult to extract and process. At some point it will be so expensive that most people will not be able to afford it.
