Ok for the sump now

OMG...what is it with these ppl lately!!! I still haven't heard from the glass cutters, they were suppose to have it ready for me the next day, it's now been 4 DAYS!!!!!! I am wondering did he talk to the guy that is suppose to be getting my LR and stuff....cause I haven't heard from him either!!!!!

Ok, well the glass was in today...so I went and picked it up, got the silicone and the egg create, I will have to get ready for work here in a minute...but will get started tomorrow on the sump!!!!

I called about my protein skimmer and had to leave a message...haven't heard from them yet GRRRR!

just leave a message vaguely referring to your "mafia connections" and they should pick things right up ;)

AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I didn't think of that, LOL!!!

Ok, I have a question here....was the glass suppose to be the width of the tank? Cause I got 12 X 12 and the tank is 12.5" W?

The tank measurement is 12" from the inside of one pane of glass to the inside pane of the other piece of glass? Or its measuring 12" from outside edge to outside edge??

Yes, usually the glass should be wide enough to go all the way across the inside of the tank. I actually got mine cut about 1/8" too large and just angled the baffles so I could be sure they would seal well. If its too short, well...you could try filling the gaps with silicone, but I'm not sure how well that would work.

It is 12.5 from the outside edges...I'll try and find the measuring tape and see what it is on the inside:)

OK, DUH...I'm such a dork sometimes I didn't think about just putting it in there to see if it fits....so anyway I just put it in there and it is actually a "touch" bigger then the inside...so I will have to try and angle it like you said you did Sploke....

lol....

It worked fine for me, so unless your completely OCD and have seizures if everything is not completely straight, it shouldn't be a problem. Its only a few degrees of angle anyway, hard to tell unless you're looking for it.
