Ok, after discovering that is was the 3 spot guromi that practically wiped out 90% of my tank, i now have to re stock, obviuolsy slowly ( and make sure im rid of any disease first). Does anyone have any suggestions on what to go for would like something for a change. I've got a couple of Black Widow tetras and 2 tetras that have a tiny black and yellow stripe on their in (does anyone know what these are), and one platy left so, bring on your ideas .
I've had angels in the past but one didn't last long and the other always seemed a bit scared and hung around the filter. I love tanks that are full of activity, variety and colors, so does anyone have any unusual ideas, if you can post pics that would be great, oh and remember i'm in the UK and from what i've found we don't have a great range plus i'm on a budget. thanks in advance.

Are you sure it was the Gourami and not the Black Widows?

What kind of Gourami?

The Tetras with the black and yellow on their fin are probably Pristella. They are silver bodied, and also have a white stripe near the black and yellow, no?

I have kept Dwarf Neon Blues (Gourami) as well.. and they were pretty angry little fellas as well. On the other hand, I think it depends on the individual fish of a species, in some cases, just like it does with humans.

I saw today, a large group of Red Eyed Tetras. The tank label said "peaceful community fish". The 'fish guy' said "bull****", and threw in a guppy... they attacked it like vultures.
