Greetings Everyone,
I just got back into the fish world after a 15 year absence. My wife got me a beautiful 55 gallon tank for Xmas. It is up and running with no huge problems and I have managed to do the cycle thing without losing any fish so far. Its been two months now. (Of course, I am not counting the 6 neons that were eaten by my Red Eye Tetras in one night. I am counting that as a rather expensive live feeding).
My tank is rather natural. I have one nice piece of Malaysian driftwood. A cave made of shale from my garden. A ludwigia and some wispy anacharis that grows like mad. Ill put some pics up when I get around to it.
I stare at my tank a lot. My wife thinks I'm a nut.
As for residents:
5X Sterba's Coreys (busy)
6X Red Eye Tetras (timid)
2X Ballon Rams (feisty)
3X Rummey Nose Tetras (swimmy)
3x Platties (horny)
I want to say that I have enjoyed this site over the last couple of months and learned a ton from you all.
Thanks Mucho!
See you 'round
