OK, need opinions please

I like the last pic of your rock...is that the most recent? I'm really surprised about how often everyone rearranges their aquascaping...I haven't changed mine once in eight months:lipssealedsmilie:. Maybe I'm just lazy....
Of course I would have to put my entire upper body in the water to reach the center of my tank I think.....

LMAO!! Yeah, well if I can ever get happy with mine...I wouldn't move it, just add coral and stuff...really I need about 10-15lbs more then I will be done and can figure a more permanent layout.

Ok, so I messed around with the rock today...still not sure if I'm happy but it will work for now I spose. When I get the rest of my rock I think I can get it better. I got the base down in the sand as much as I could without having to take out the sand, and moved things so give it to me..your honest thoughts and opinions:perv:

Again I started with what it was, then the first way I had it, then I moved a rock and re-took the shots.

Weeellllll...to be totally honest, I liked the first one better...aesthetically. The second group might be better in terms of flow and swim room though and that is really what counts. On the other hand, it did look like you had some nice swim throughs in the first configuration too. But what do I know...I'm a newbie.

Yes, I have to get about 15lbs more...I may get a little more then that, but I will be sure to try and get some larger ones. I think if I can keep the layout close to this and add some more bigger pieces I will be happy (I hope anyway) is anyone ever really happy with the rock work or do you constantly change it? When I am able to get more coral, mushrooms and such...I will be able to pick an arrangement I like and keep it I hope.:)

As much as I hate to disagree with Grins *shudder* I think I like the very first pic. Unless that's the way it is now. In which case I don't disagree. But I do like the very first pic best.:nilly:
Sorry to be so confusing.

The first pic it the way I had it. Thank you, I am thinking maybe when I get the rest of my rock it will all come together. I do like it more (mound like) how it is in the first, but I like the bigger holes in the way it is now...so I'm thinking with the rest of the rock bringing it together to look more like the first, but open like now...does that make since? In my mind I know what I'm trying to say...but when typing it, it just seems to be more confusing...LMAO!
i like the first one too =)

are those real plants?

The first one too huh? Well, in the end we will see what I get...I'm sure I'll move them around quite a bit more before I'm done.

Yes, they are real. (the plants...LOL)!

I like the more open shots you got there. I'm new also but my girl friend has this rock thing down pretty good. I would like to show you what I did with our rocks when we first got some of our rock. Then I'll show you what she came up with. She wins as usual! Also I have to say it's nice to have both large, Med, and small rocks to work with from what I have seen her do. In the pictures you see we have base rock sitting all the way on the bottom with the wide, flat parts down and then covered with sand. Everything else is stacked on top of them. Also in the pictures we only have 35lb out of the 100lb needed. we just got another 5.5lb the other day but have not really added them into the rock work yet so no pics of it yet but will be soon. Ya know how it is, no time. Anyway I hope this helps. Maybe give you some ideas.
