Okay here's the plan so far:

75g glass tank *undrilled*
75lbs live sand on top of 100lbs of Southdown Play sand
75lbs live rock (more to be added at later date to bring up to 150lbs)
Aqua C-Remora pro protein skimmer with mag 3 pump & prefilter box
48" 4x130 w 50/50 power compact lights

Livestock plans to be added gradually over 12 months:
2 percula clowns
2 bangaii cardinals or
1 royal gramma or
2 neon cleaner gobies or
Firefish

Clean-up crew: Any suggestions on how many of each of these one would need?

blue legged hermit crabs
peppermint shrimp
cleaner shrimp
cerith snails
nassarius snails
turbo snails
brittle stars

Suggestions and or opinions greatly appreciated.... regarding any part of this

Just IMO
loose the live sand the play sand will turn into live sand fast save your $ for extra l.r. You can have more small fish than that in a 75 . so really you could add all of the fish on your list without a problem . Your other equipment will work ok to but, I'm no equipment expert so I'll defer on that question again it all looks ok to me don't know of problems with any of it. If you want a reef though I'd get halides but, it doesn't sound like you want one.
clean up crew
Blue legged hermits 0 " they can be real monsters! I'd go for red reefs about 1 per 3 gallons but, that's just what's worked best for me.
Peppermints shrimp a pair
Cleaner 2 they will form a pair their sex is dependant on how recently they have shed their skin so don't worry about a matched set . The same for peppermints.
Snails, get as many different varieties as you can find I'd get about 1 per gallon. Go light on the turbo's though they don't work as hard as the little guys.
Brittle star stay away from green brittles start with 1 or 2 and add if your tank can support more. You'll probably hardly ever seem them by the way.
You might also consider a tiger tail or other sand eating cucumber to keep you sand bed stired and clean. Also add narcissus snails and other infaunal critters.
