Across the great pond from the Commie state of Sea
My sons Cherry Shrimp tank Still has some growing in to do. I was going for that old rusty car under the tree in a wheat field look of my younger days.

Very nice! Not sure if I care for the greenery up top though. Looks out of place.

It will be spread out to the the other branches as it grows to give more of the tree effect.
 
If you want the moss to fill in the branches you'd be better off tying small amounts at the bottom of each branch. The moss is going to grow up not down so its not going to fill in as you think. Having the moss fill in from bottom to top will also give the effect of the top of the tree having dead branches at the top until it fills in giving another focal point.
