So, I know there were mystery snail eggs in my tank, good and good. I saw one baby, then two and finally three, they started getting large and were thriving very well and all developing different pretty colors so I was excited... I wasn't home for a couple of days and today I come back to probably 30+ baby briggs on the back of my tank. I almost had a heart attack! Luckily I can sell them to my LFS once they get big enough but goodness I don't think I was expecting that because I haven't seen any eggs in a few weeks lol. On a sad note, none of my fish eggs hatched. I'm assuming they were either eaten or maybe they did hatch (some looked like they did) and then they were eaten :headshake2:. I don't get it why can't my fish eat some of the snail eggs instead of their own babies? lol, I want fry!!!

snails don't really contribute much to ammonia... why not keep them?

as they get bigger, they do have a big bio - load and most lfs over there wont take then till the about an 1" so they can make sure of species briggs not canns

Briggs add ALOT of bioload, so significant ammonia once they grow. Congrats on the babies, I hope you have enough room to raise them. In an ideal world, each adult bridgesii would have 2.5g of tank space. Check behind your filter lip and under the lights for eggs. Its likely if you had one clutch hatch/laid, there will be many more!

Yea I know there are more, I'm cleaning out tomorrow. Even if I give them to the guy at my new fave LFS I'd be winning because he always gives me awesome discounts. I'm definitely not keeping all those snails. I have enough fish already lol
