So, I'm sitting here at my computer and I hear a barking noise...at first I thought it was the yappy mutt up the street, but it seemed more rythmic than usual so I get up to check & see if it is my lil toadie, and sure enough as soon as I get 3 feet away from the tank the "barking" stops. I didn't think he would do this without another toad in the tank. I guess I better scrounge up my pennies to get him a playmate soon.
lol, i told my finace that they're silent...hopefully he will believe that it's the little dog up the street, and I don't have pics yet, he's found himself a hidey hole and I don't want to disturb him for a couple of days til he gets a chance to adjust to his new home, but i'll post some as soon as I can catch him out of his hiding spot
I have no idea how to tell & neither does the person at the lfs where I got him. There was one that was larger than the other 2, I'm guessing that that was the female and I got one of the smaller ones. If i go back tonight i'll get the larger. I can't believe he'd be settled already, just got him around 7 p.m. last night. not even 24 hours ago. lol, I must build one mean setup.
I have a feeling that these lil herps are going to become addictive like fish have. I started out with 1 33g tank and now I have my 33 as BW, a 20 FW, had a 10 with a red eye red tail puffer who is recently deceased (now the home of my toad) a 10g with snails for my gsp and another empty 10 which I can see becoming a cricket breeding center...just have to do some convincing .
