So I got off early from work today and decided to kill time by stopping at the lfs to see what they got. I rideshare with hubby, so I still had to be in town until 5.

I was browing the tanks and saw that they had a few more things in the gourami tank by seeing the price stickers (they like to keep them fairly normally stocked to under stocked so it can be hard to see what fish is in there right away). I started looking and they said they had Golden Honey Dwarf Gouramis. I asked if they were just a variation of dwarfs or actualy honeys. We looked them up in their supplier book and they were listed as colisa sota and they really looked like the pics of honey gouramis. I know that colisa chuna and colisa sota are both the same fish. Anyway, I'm having them hold 2 until I pick up huby.

Grats! :thm:

I've been all over the place Even the Large Chain FS..trying to find Honey Gouramis with no Luck let alone Dwarf Gouramis. :headshake2:

where in wis. do you live?

Rocker92: I live between Rice Lake and Eau Claire. Work in RL.

They were about an inch long, one slightly smaller. I think I have a m/f pair, but not sure yet. They are still both fairly pale yellow, though one has a slightly darker more orange color to his tail and wrapping slightly around his back end. That's the one I think is a male. I'm really hoping that they are going to order more since they were the last 2.

They are so awesome! Hubby thinks their ugly, but they aren't. So cute. One seems to be actually somewhat brave and was checking out the whole tank within 2 hours of introducing him/her. The other is pretty much hiding in the bacopa all the time. I've got a little forest of bacopa monnieri in the back left corner. I'm hoping to get some more floating plants this week as well as more anubias probably in the next week or two (from Bayleesfishees through Aquabid; he had some medical emergency and won't be able to ship for a little while), which should round out the tank nicely.

I wanted to give them a little time to settle in, and they are also staying mainly in the back of the bacopa. But, I'll try to get some in the next few days if I can. I don't want to freak them out like I did with my puffer :( who is still scared of me after 1 year of ownership. Of course, hubby chasing him about the tank with a flyswatter to get him to puff up (didn't happen anyway!) did not help the situation. Bad hubby!
