Well after reading the pleco posts i thought i would try feeding my plecos some zucchini....Wow they loved it, at lest the little one did :D here is him eating it and what was left after a day lol

Any ideas what else they might like? I also have an albino rainbow shark, a dannio, and a cory any treats they would like?

common pleco's will eat zucchini, squash, cucumbers, spinach and other vegetables. you'll just have to try each one, because not all plecos like the same types of veggies, whether they are raw or blanched (boiled). it's good to see your feeding your pleco's some veggies and not just algae or spirulina wafers. just curious, how big is your tank?

Well these are my friends fish he went off to college and was gonna get rid of them but i like fish so i took them off his hands. He had all those fish in a 20 gallon but i moved them into a 40gallon i had its still 2 small for the plecos i think but its better and i dont want to get rid of them they are so much fun :D

Plecs love zuchini, just don't feed to much or they won't eat your algae! My clown loaches also love zuchini, and banana slices.

my plecs love veggies, especially zucchini, summer squash, cucumber, and thier new favorite...pumpkin. my rainbow shark also gets in on the action, along with my clown loaches. its like a feeding frenzy when i drop something in.

I have small 3 bristle noses in a relatively new tank.. Hardly any algae in it for them :(
This made em look for other sources of food: my plants, so I've been looking for ways to give em some other food.. I put in some cucumber yesterday and they seem to like it.. caught one nibbling from it this morning

I have a rather stupid (well thats how i feel) problem though.. how do i get the food to stay on the bottom? what are good ways to weigh it down?
at the moment i just jammed the cucumber into a piece of driftwood.. but I don't want any rotting..

they will each need at least 100 gals,if you still want pleco's get rubber lips or bristle noses, they are the only ones that wont get too big for your tank.
