OMG my mom.

are either of those photos your turtle? I'm a little confused. That second photo is a Yellow Eared Slider. There is also a yellow bellied variation of a slider.

I don't believe there is such a thing as a "Yellow Eared Slider." There is, however, a "Yellow belly." There are a range of possible colors in Sliders.

ill get some pics tommarrow.

Yeah I think you're thinking of the Yellow Bellied Slider. It doesn't really matter anyways, bothYellow Bellied and Red Ears are the same species. They are just 2 of the 12 subspecies of Trachemys scripta.

you might be surprised to find yourself liking him/her, i ended up with a sick res and i love her, i would have never owned a turtle otherwise now i'm hooked!

Well I really don't have anything to trade, and I can't make to Katy anythime soon.... I'm in Cypress. I think a baby pool would sufice for now.

im going to attempt an outdoor pond. any suggestions. i kinda want to build it up out of the ground so i can keep koi in it. ive read turtles are fine with koi as long as the koi is bigger.

any plans blueprints or suggestions. i want it to be a big deep pond

my res was a rescue, she was adopted out into a pond with koi and was returned as she was beat up by the koi. she is about 5-6" long and i'm not sure what size the koi were. just a word of caution from experience.
