omg OMG!!!!!!

could i put the cories in witth him?
other wise they will die, moms got work to do and cant do water changes GGGGRRRRRRR!!!!
but she can get betta out

How big is the betta hex? How big are the cories? You don't want to cramp them all into something really small when they are already stressed out. I'd set your priorities right now- which fish would you like to live THE MOST. Is there no way you can get home? I'd drive my butt out there if that's what it takes!

Tuperware!!!! Bowls. Anything. But if you get on those water changes as soon as possible (or your mom) then things should be okay. The betta is tough and can breath air. The cories can grab breaths of air as well and that is probably why they are hanging in.

Eep! Yell at mom! Was your pH at 8.8 before as well? It's pretty high! Um okay, tell her to fill the betta bowl, and some vases or like a water pitcher... up with tap water. Add a drop of chlorine remover to each and let it sit for at least a minute. Test all the temperatures and as long as they are pretty close ~2 degrees C, then she can just drop 'em in. Avoid using a net tho, it stresses!

I like to use a strainer, or a glass. But if it is your mom doing it, then let her use the net. My fish swim into a glass if I put it in the tank so I've always found that easier and less harmful. Especially with the little ones. Good luck

Where I was born and raised in Norfolk/Va Beach area of Virginia, the pH of the water was 6.8. Now, if you drove a couple hours away to outside of Richmond it was near 9!

...Talk about a difference.

Anyway, I would keep up the water changes some how and hopefully Mom will let you come home LOL :p

Ask your mom if she's let a dog die and then just buy you a new one.

Or a sister...
