One and Only!!! for those looking to instant cycle

Nothing better than the tried and trusted method that has been in place for years. No instant cycle product is ever one hundred percent effective.. Just another way for ppl that arent educated in the ins and outs of a cycle to be fooled into believeing its the best thing since sliced bread, while spending there money on a product that is virtually useless. Cant wait to see reviews on it.

Edit: the use for fw and sw aquariums should be a tip off that its virtually worthless, as the bacteria needed for the two types are different..
"Choose Saltwater or Freshwater formulas."

Doubt it will take off, cause my LFS's still carry Bio-spira. Dont think many places are gonna stock a second brand of bacteria, unless it is really cheap and works better.

Cam, you got a good point. What type of nitrifying bacteria, would you use?

You store may carry it, but it is probably pretty old. Bio-Spira was discontinued months ago. Read the link I previously posted.

I responded in that older thread, but my LFS just started carrying the new bottles of Bio-spira, they are yellow/purple and plastic btw. They recieved them mid-may, and it looks like the silver satchels were discontinued. The new stuff has new art and everything and doesnt need refrigeration but I still see it in the refrigerator there.

Here is a real response about Bio-Spira from Marineland from back in April.

Hello,
It has not. It will soon be re-launched as Tetra Safe start for
freshwater and Instant Ocean Bio-spira for salt. Watch for it on product
shelves as it will no longer need to be refrigerated.

Yeah, United Pet just wanted to use the more recognizable brands this time around. There is a reason that they use that yellow to catch the eye of new aquarists and again to ride on the popularity of the instant ocean brand too.
