Heh, we've all had weeks like this. It's the love of the hobby that brings us back. Keep at it! The good times will come. :)
 
I must admit your post made me laugh, but I really feel for you too!
I have had the odd water change mishap, but not as spectacular as your Friday!
 
Thanks guys! Yes... I will continue to keep at it... and I'm sure I will have more messes, lol.:)

One positive about the mishap, aside from giving us all a laugh:

My husband, (who has heard me say many times that small tanks are more difficult than large tanks), after watching the chaos Friday, his face contorted into a grimace, and in a very frustrated voice asked, 'If I get you a bigger tank will it be less trouble?"

Sounds like you need something to re-balance the good and bad of your fishkeeping week. I wonder if a new big tank might do just that? :D
 
Ugh! What a week you had! I thought I might electrocute myself just installing a UV filter with water going everywhere including the powerstrip.
I love that your husband offers the best cure he can at the moment, a new big tank will make it all better. Sweet he's trying to ease the pain. (& it just may help, LOL)

So..all in all, pretty much routine then...?
